Hi Everyone, I am currently in the process of redesigning my website. I just hired a web designer and we talked about all the ideas I had and where I wanted to take it. I am a hip-hop/r&b producer and I handle most of my business through the web. I would like to ask you guys if you could please check out my site and give me your honest opinion. I want my new site to be perfect, design wise and marketing wise. I know some of you might not be into hip-hop or understand the market that well, but I feel marketing techniques apply to every type of business, so feel free to put any input even if you don't think it applies to hip-hop/r&b music. Any suggestions/comments are welcome. Thanks!

Also the web designer quoted me 1500-2000. I had my site done by my friend so I don't know if that's a typical price for a website. I asked a few people and some thought it was a little high. My new website is going to be more artistic and have better design. I'd mostly be paying the web designer for his artwork, because the site layout is going to be fairly simple.

Honestly, you can tell that it's been done by your friend.

There is an unecessary use of flash, most the mouseovers could be done using simple html script.

It is horrendous for dial-up users, there is not a chance to hear your sample music, be it good or bad.

And the name -'Jchops', I thought you were a butchers at first.

Sorry, but that's what I think. Needs totally reworking.

ThanQ
