notification area alert - virus strand HELP!

Hi,
Like most I got stompped by what I now think is the about:blank virus. I've run Avast - anti virus - spybot - adware - windows defender both before the main boot phase and in safe mode; and although i've seemed to be rid of the virus itself in my notification area i still have an Icon that says virus alert and it gives me a bubble every 30 or 40 seconds with this virus warning. Even after clearing the past notification icons in the regedit i'm still stuck with this crazy notification can some one please at least point me in the right direction for getting rid of this...

Download hijackThis. Extract it to its own folder. Then run it and select. Do system scan and save log. Post the contents of the log that pops up.
