www.tightvnc.com

An open source server and client that allows you to connect remotely from a client app or the internet. It is free! My employer uses it.

I also have it on my Linux Box running Fedora Core 4. It came packaged with the OS. I can use the SSH putty client to tunnel a secure session to the VNC server.

Tunneling vnc:

VNC client connects to the secured shell that I have running on the same machine and forwards its data through the secured shell's session to the remote VNC server that's listening on the secured socket 443.

How does gotomypc function and is it secure? I do have a problem with response but it works great! I've also used symantec pcanywhere and terminal services that comes with XP. All these work great, but even better when coupled with a VPN.
