I've installed Apache Tomcat/5.5.16 with the windows installer. I've installed it to port 80. when i write to my browser localhost:80 there is no problem it goes to main tomcat page, but when i click on the jsp-examples link it gives this error

HTTP Status 404 -/jsp-examples/
type Status report
message /jsp-examples/
description The requestes resource (/jsp-examples/) is not available

Do you have any idea why this problem occurs?

p.s: i have also installed it to the ports 8080 & 8081 but the same error occurs anyway...

Go to Tomcat manager and check if the web application is running.

Did you get this resolved?

In tomcat manager, I show jsp-examples status 'false', and I clicked on 'start', no help.

Please advise, your help will be greatly appreciated.

I have same issue with the jsp-examples. I looked up in Tomcat Manger and can't get it started by clicking on "start".

I have Java SDK 1.4.2 installed and JAVA_HOME is set to it.

Any suggestions?
