Please review my site: http://www.recesscafe.com so that I can improve my site. This is my first try... so help me to make it better.

1. The content of your site looks good, but I somehow get the feeling that there is too much of a crowding on the page. You may want to add a little breaks and also account for the page size. A large page size is a turn-off for many users.

2. I liked the overall layout, assuming that it is a personal site. Simple and good looking!!!

3. The colors are okay but it does need a little more imagination. You need a little bit of white in between IMHO.

4. In the "New history has begun." line on the index page, the history link has a mouseover stuff which does not show up correctly. But I believe that is a problem due to Firefox. Well, yes... IE displays it correctly.

5. You may want to consider choosing a different font in some of the sections where you intend to catch more of a user's attention.

I think that's about all I could think for now.

I have to agree with aniseed. You need to break the monotony of blue. White will always look neat. Otherwise, I like the clean layout and the logical flow of content.

I like your design, but I think there are too many adveritsments on the right side. Maybe you place some of them between content.

You site is good looking but it is not search engine optimised.
Optimise your title tag. :: and ... are not something help your page get listed.
You try to put 100 keywords into a meta tag will not work. |Try concentrate on certain unique keywords, and relate your content to these keywords.
You can also add alt or title into your image tags.

Hi, I just looked at your site and there are some things that immediatly spring to mind when I just looked at it the first time.

First off: I like the design it looks very fresh, hte colors look about right to me.

second: There is very much happening (maybe a little too much)
I could really focus and choose what to click next because of the dozens of links that were precented to me.

other then that it looks very professional to me.
