As a Marketer I have found my short foray into the fuzzy world of background programming confusing. I do not know what to ask for. Bah, bah, bah. Thanks Dani! Anyway, I am building a community--- in that community I need a wysiwug blog/journal for paid subscribers and a way for them to get credit for new members--$ like a Click thru. That is one piece… another is a customizable home page to house personal web links… and a page that will be kept for as long as the web is here. Like forever. All this and work in harmony with a “full on e-commerce information type site� while delivering an uplifting message daily thru e-mail marketing. The vision goes on and on and I am currently designing a matrix that will be a foundation for design. I am a ‘good jack’ and started studying Perl thinking it will make most of the connections but that is a shot in the dark at this stage. What platform? What type of Host?
