New Poly Win32? HJT Logfile posted

McAfee popped up a message today saying that my machine was infected with the New Poly Win32 virus, which it couldn't clean, quarantine, or delete. I immediately ran McAfee Virus Scan to see if I had any other viruses. I ran it 3 times actually - once in normal mode, once in safe mode, and then once out of DOS mode. At no point, however, did any viruses show up in the scan, even the one indicated in the pop-up message. And I haven't seen anymore messages from McAfee. So my question is, what's going on? Is it still there? Does McAfee just give false alarms sometimes, or should I still be worried? I've already run the most current versions of Spybot and Ad Aware. Here's the log file. Thanks for whatever help you can give.

I'm not having any problems necessarily, but then I wasn't really having problems before (other than my computer running just a little bit slower - but maybe that's due to installing alot of programs as of late, or to other X factors I've never understood, but that cause the invariable slowing of machines after you've been using them a while), other than McAfee popping up a message once saying I was infected and that it couldn't clean, quarantine, or delete it. But being that neither McAfee nor any other online virus scanner could find anything after that initial message, how could I know for sure it was gone? That was actually my original question.

But if you say its a clean HJT log, then that's what I was looking for. Maybe McAfee gives false positives sometimes, which is what that original popup message was, and why nothing after that, including McAfee, found that particular virus again? Hmmmm. Anyway thanks so much for the help. I greatly appreciate it.

If you receive that message from McAfee again, please try to get the exact name and folder location of the file McAfee is flagging if possibe. That will give us a bit more to work with.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.
