Hi, I use Norton antivirus 2003, AVG, spyware doctor and spybot search and destroy. Whenever I log on i randomly get this 'server busy' box with the only options being retry and switch to. The cancel option is greyed out and whenever i click on the red cross it doesnt close unless i choose one of the options.An advertising pop-up usually comes when i choose one of the 2 options. • Save it to your desktop.
• Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.

Update About:Buster

• Unzip the contents of AboutBuster.zip and an AboutBuster directory will be created.
• Navigate to the AboutBuster directory and double-click on AboutBuster.exe.

• Click "Update" and then "Check For Update" to begin the update process.
• If any updates exist please download them by clicking "Download Update" then click the X to close that window.

Update CWShredder

• Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
• Click Check For Update
• Close CWShredder

Boot into Safe Mode
(by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until at the bootup screen until a menu shows up and choose Safe Mode from the list)

Please run about:buster:

• Click Start and then OK to allow AboutBuster to scan for Alternate Data Streams.
• Click Yes to allow it to shutdown explorer.exe.
• It will begin to check your computer for malicious files. If it asks if you would like to do a second pass, allow it to do so.
• When it has finished, click Save Log. Make sure you save it as I may need a copy of it later.
• Reboot your computer into safe mode again

Run about:buster again following the same instructions as above, this time without the restart at the end

Now run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files (if present)
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to log-off/reboot at the end, if it does please do so.

Please download ewido anti-malware it is a free version of the program.

1. Install ewido anti-malware
2. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck..
   • Install background guard
   • Install scan via context menu
3. Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double-click it.
4. The program will now open to the main screen.
5. When you run ewido for the first time, you may get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
   
6. You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
   • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
   • Then click on Start Update.
7. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
   (the status bar at the bottom will display ("Update successful" )

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.

Once the updates are installed do the following:

• Open up Ewido
• Click on scanner
• Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
• You will be prompted to clean the first infection.
• Select "Perform action on all infections", then proceed.
• Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
• Click Save report.
• Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.
• Close ewido anti-malware.

Reboot.

I did everything both of you have said, i noticed after i rebooted upon killing the 2 .dll files with killbox...when i logged on the server busy message appeared but then disappeared without me even pressing a button. You may need to show hidden files.

Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files - option.

the only file that was in that folder was 'ati2evxx' and i think it's an exe file because its listed as an application, it's attributes are hidden, read-only and system.

Use killbox then post a new log.

well i couldn't find the file on killbox as it said the file doesnt exist but when i searched using the name on killbox i found out that this file could be related to my video drivers as I use ATI but i'm not sure whether the one in my fonts folder is related to my video card but it has the same name as the files that came up when i searched for ati2evxx.
