Help Hi - how do you trigger a macro to run when a cell is updated in Excel?

Hi all,

I am new to this. I am just starting to use macros in Excel. I need to stamp the current date into a cell when any cell in a particular column is updated. I have a macro which will stamp the date in the cell for me but I can only trigger it to run with a key shortcut or at the press of a button (with macro assigned to it). Is it possible to trigger a macro to run when the contents of a cell are updated?

Any advice would be appreciated,

thanks

Ben
