I have an Dell Inspiron 2500. The operating system is Windows ME. I connect to the net via dial up. Recently I cannot dial up. The modem does connect to a remote server but after that no hook up with the web home site. I got an error code 645 and supsequently got a message “Microsoft connection manager, service profile damaged, re-install it.
I have the Dell CD for re-installing Win ME as well as Dell installed backup programs and a Cd from Dell for re-installing system software.
How can I re-install the Microsoft connection manager, service profile? Which disk should I use? How can I do it?
