Cannot copy file: Data error (cylcic redundancy check)

Hi !

I am trying to copy a .dat file from a CD to my hardisk. I am running WinXP pro. The copying process run smoothly at the beginning but getting very slow when it reaches 99% completion !? And, pop up the error message "Cannot copy file: Data error (cylcic redundancy check)" !

What shall I do next ?

CRC errors usually mean that the source file is corrupt. Burn the original source file to a new CD and try again.

How to check whether there is any protection has been put in ?
