Help! - site not indexed by search engines

Hi,

I'd be extremely grateful if anyone can help me - I'm at a loss! Some months ago I created & uploaded my first website, using Dreamweaver - www.channelimages.com. I am a complete novice. The site has never been indexed by Google as far as I'm aware - searching for the URL gives no result. It did show up when searching on the URL in Ask.com for a while, but doesn't any more for some reason. I've registered it with dmoz.com but this doesn't appear to have helped (yet, anyway). There is no controversial content, so I can't see a reason why it would be censored.

I've surfed for ideas as to why it's not registering, and the only possible reason I can come up with is that I've used frames (because I really want the content to centre on the screen). Although I find it hard to believe that the clever people that run Google still haven't solved the problem I've read about re. webcrawlers handling frames, for the avoidance of doubt I've made sure (as far as I can tell) that my noframes content gives plenty of information, and put loads of keywords in the code.

Please can anyone shed some light? I'm so gutted to have put so much work in, all for nothing at the moment!

Thanks in anticipation

Lynne

I checked your site out, here is why you are not being indexed:
Your site should be full of content, you don't have much density on your site description nor keywords. Once you do that, then you need to submit your site to Search Engines then you will be indexed. You also need to include the following tag to assure the Search Engine revisits and keep you indexed:
<meta name="revisit-after" content="15 days">

After you posted your link on this topic your site will be indexed soon by the search engines.
You need lots of backlinks for your site. If you only submit your site to webdyrectories you have to wait a while.
The best thing that you can do is to place a link to your site in sites with big Page Rank.
I got my site indexed by google(and not only) after only 2 days if I posted a link into a PR 4 page.

And add a robots.txt file into your root directory.

I haven't done this and I'm still indexed with google.

When i whent to Index my site with google, it says right in the statement: "may take 2 weeks to several months". I wouldn't worry. It's just a matter of time.

It's not very good to submit it. Is much better to place a link in a site with at least PR 4 and in few days your site will be indexed.

Even my site has not been indexed, it has been more than two weeks. Does blogs take long time to get indexed? Is it because of the frames?

Here is the link for my blog: http://noesoterica.blogspot.com
