After I posted the blue screen came up again here is what it says not exactly word for word but close and all the important info is exactly as it said. I have not installed any new hardware and the computer never did this and i had it for months. I dont know how to disable bios memory options as it says to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damabe to your computer.
IRQ1_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you seen this message restart if it appears again follow these steps.

Check new hardware installations.

If it continues disable and remove and new hardware disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Technical info.

The majority of Win XP shutdown problems reported thus far have been that it reboots when shutdown is attempted. This may be a global symptom emerging from several distinct causes, because, by default, XP executes an automatic restart in the event of a system failure. Therefore, more or less anything compromising the operating system during the shutdown process could force this reboot. Disabling the restart on system failure feature may permit the exact cause to be isolated: Right-click on My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab. Under Startup & Recovery, click Settings. Under System Failure, uncheck the box in front of System reboot.

From this site ,more info on site about shutdown problems .

I've seen this error when
1. The drivers have corrupted
2. The RAM is bad

Now, step 1 would be to check all the drivers are intact. Open device manager and make sure no devices have a red cross or a yellow exclamation next to them. If there are, you need to reinstall thhose drivers.

step 2 would require you to clean your RAM sticks. Next, check the RAM sticks on another computer to see if the problem recurs.

First of all, your hijackthis log doesnot seem to be clean .. please post your latest log in our viruses and spywares section.

This type of error usually occurs with cpu overheating problem or a bad RAM. Check that your cpu is properly cooled and try changing RAM to see if your RAM is faulty or not.
