Well… What can I say…
First: The Internet is an interactive and multi media way of communication. And by that, the amount of “stimulation” and interactivity that you create will influence the visitor’s opinion on the site. Rollovers, images, animations and sounds give extra points to the visitor’s appreciation..
Second: When you arrive to a webpage, the first thing that your eyes scan for is the larger objects. Then you get your first impression on the site. Usually the web-designers use good images were habitually there’s someone happy. When the first thing that you see is someone happy, you will be almost automatically happy and fond about that site…
Now that you have read this, tell me what do you think that lakes on your site?

Thank you! You have two great points. And I'm going to go back to my website and see what I can add to make it more animated. I especially liked your suggestion about creating a "happy" atmosphere.
