Active desktop

I could use a little help getting my Active Desktop running again on XP Pro. Somehow, all of the Active Desktop settings on all the Windows menus have vanished... no idea how that happened.

Can anyone shed some light on the best way to restore these?

Thanks.

I don't use Active Desktop. But I believe it can be enabled by going to Display Properties then to the Customize Desktop button and then to the Web tab. If it just miraculously disappeared, was it after installing an Internet Explorer or Windows update? Have you tried or are you willing to try system restore?

That was part of it, but the final piece to the puzzle was the fact that I had locked stuff to the desktop so it wouldn't reactivate properly!
