i am trying to install display drivers on a dell insiron 5100. it uses the radeon M 7500 graphics chipset/card. i removed the winXP and placed on a fresh, and true, version of win2000pro. everything works except the display drivers. upon installing i recieve this error, well similar, "inf file error. try installing a standard SVGA display adapter first" first off i have never had a display driver installer say such a thing, but then agian i have never used modern ATI products. second how do i install a standard SVGA display adapter? unlike win98, which gives you a choice of standard drivers, i dont see them listed in the win2000 display driver list.

please i really need help with this

are you installing the ATI drivers when you get that message?
