Cant get to login screen

When i boot up my computer it goes through the whole startup system etc.. and then when it gets to the login in screen it crashes
it says this

STOP: 0x00000051 (0x00000001, 0xE29830008, 0x004F4000, 0x000001D6)

I dont know what it means but its very annoying and wont let me use my computer i have no clue how to fix this so i was wondering if anyone could help me

i am currently running windows XP home edition

i cant get to my desktop so i cant acess any aplications so if theres something else i could do please tell me

hey,
This is a problem with your Registry.Your Registry is corrupt.So try booting to safe mode and try to do a system restore to an earlier point
