Hi DaniWeb user,
Recently I have been having some trouble with opening any folders such as My computer, recycle bin control panel etc. This also extends to my Internet Explorer.
When I attempt to open a folder my desktop clears and start bar. I fear somehow explorer.exe does not operate correctly and some how restarts. Whn I attempt to open IE, nothing happens (and any open programs are moved around the taskbar). In my task manager iexplorer.exe runs and closes.
I noticed this problem about a week ago and think it is some sort of virus. I attempted to solve it by doing a system restore, which worked. However after about the fith resotore to eradicate the problem it still persists.
I have noticed when I run my account the amount of tasks running in my task manger is significantly less than usual, however this is not the case. I took an screenshot of this and is visible here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...mputer_Problem
Figure 1.1 illustarting a time when my system did not operate correctly, and and figure 1.2 after solving this. However more recently i have found that i can have a similair amount of tasks running yet still have the problem.
