Help required for Socket Programming

Dear All,
I have an application witch get real time data and update itself like STOCK MARKET trading terminal. I want to capture real time data and store it in a text file. Please help me in this regard

ouch, can you be more specific? Like, you want to make a program that logs the real time data from another program? What is the other program, and what is the data?

I have trading terminal which display live data, I want to capture that data from port

the data that is streaming, is it from a server? For example, does the program have to connect to the server that streams, and then get the live data?
