Site Redesign with AJAX: Critics Welcomed!

  #1
Jul 25th, 2006
Good day everyone,

I have redesigned my company site recently and wish for some feedback. It is integrated mostly with simple css and ajax. I am not a programmer nor a design by choice, just a hobby.

Please share all feedback and suggestions. Thank you.

I like it but it is a little cluttered at the bottom.

Thank you. Are you referring to the footer specifically or something else?

I was reffering to the footer and the space above where it says why choose.... it seems like you could space these out a little more to enhance readability.

I preferred the old style drop down menus, the transistional effect you have now seems to fancy for me.

But the css is a definite bonus.

Thank you for your kind responses. I have disabled the fade on the menu (it was annoying I admit).

Other changes:
cleaned footer
Added sales chat in menu in place of "legal" (moved to footer)
cleaner header, banner
Adjusted space on home page for the "why choose virtuoso" section

Any further suggestions surely welcomed.

What would you change?

Hi,

I like the site, simple to use and IMHO I'm not bothered by it being a bit cluttered. The only thing I'd point your attention to is the flash tour. I think that you've set it to 100% size in the html. This blows all of your images and makes text harder to read. I'd recommend picking a size - 800 by 600 for example - and then stick to that size. That way your images and text will be cleaner.

Tim
