No sound and problem with graphics controller

Hi everyone...
Okay first the sound problem...I checked device manager and it showed the speakers working perfectly well but no sound it coming out of them! Volume control shows nothing muted...but still no sound? Can anyone help?
Okay next the graphics controller thingy...I recently did something to the computer. Uh I uninstalled something I thought was useless and then I restarted the computer and I got this screen that flickers everytime I scroll up and down. Apparently I checked that I have had my video controller removed both it and (VGA compatible). And so everytime I switch on the computer there is this Found New Hardware Wizard popping up and it asks me to install those two (They are actually in the motherboard) but I can't!
So yes..Can anyone help?
