I have a Portege 4010 w/ dead hard drive. Purchased new drive, but not sure of procedure for install esp since there are some unusual issues --
1. This laptop was given to me by my Fiance when her co. gave her a new one to use.
2. I don't have any of ther original install software except for Toshiba Recovery and Config CDs.
3. I don't have orig Windows XP CDs -- I only have --
a. XP home CD that came w/ a Dell laptop I own
b. XP Professional upgrade CD I purchased
Any advice and/or instructions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jim
