I have a Dell flat monitor and it was doing the same thing. Just over one year old. Sometimes if I unplugged the plug and plugged it back in it would come on. I discovered it is the on/off switch that's not working. So now I just don't ever turn it off. So far, so good. Off course when I contacted Dell they said it's not under warranty and said they weren't having any such problems with their flat screens. I recently talked with my nephew who said his did the very same thing. I will never buy a Dell again!
