Reading parallel port in VB6 under winXp

hi
I tried to read or write the printer port through VB6 under winXp
It doesn`t work, although I used inpout32.dll
I found that VB6 can`t deal with this dll
Please can anyone help

Thank you for your interest
I`d like to tell you that the first link suggested has nothing to do with the required case I mentioned. It doesn`t deal with WinXp.
The 2nd link deals with the serial port only.
I wonder if anybody can help with the case of parallel port in VB6 and WinXp

Hmn, I think you just need to set a reference to it in project/references... check this page out: http://www.lvr.com/parport.htm#Programming
