Character Set

Hello
My webapp need to use Cyrillic and Latin ( "normal" character code ), could you tell me how to set nls_lang in my database and in the session.I tryied write string in hibernte , but when i tryied to read this string, this is only character '?', this column is type nvarchar2 in my database.
Please help me and thanks a lot.
