Hello,
Website: www.siliconvalleytalk.com
I just moved to silicon valley (from the berkeley area) and have created a forum to help pass some of the boring nights. (Silicon valley ain't the most happening place in the world, besides all the technology). I've never started up a forum before. So i'd like to get some feed back from ya'll about whether the coloring is awful or what not. I also am not as familiar with all the features of VBulletin software, so maybe you can suggest things that i may not have turned on? I just figured out RSS feeds a couple days ago. Thanks in advance.
Michael

Its pretty much just the standard Vbulletin with a different color and a image that is too small at the top. Its a good start but Vbulletin can acomplish a lot more Just look at daniweb for example.
Agreed. The header should be centered. The background gray color clashes. The default forum icons should be replaced, etc.
All of that said, what really makes a forum work is the content. If the content can draw/create a community, then the window dressing becomes less important.
I should also mention that there are a number of vBulletin-related sites for tips and styles. We don't promote or endorse any of them here, so I won't post the URLs. Just do some web searches or PM me.
