Issues with Start Menu and Desktop Shortcuts

I'm not sure if this is due to a virus or due to the recent registry corruption that plagued my computer recently (fixed it by copying a good version from a system restore archive over the corrupted one), but I found this website as a link from a google search for my issue. The problem that I'm getting is that when I double click on any Desktop shortcut or anything in the All Programs section of the Start Menu (any executable), it doesn't run. Quick Launch doesn't work. The recently used programs list in the Start Menu doesn't work, but the links to Firefox and Microsoft Outlook (default webbrowser and mail client) work fine. The links on the right side of the Start Menu work, and I can launch iexplore through taskmanager and run executables through there with no issues. I downloaded and ran HijackThis, and here's my results.

I fixed the McAfee stuff. I recently uninstalled it, and apparently it didn't uninstall very well because there are still entries in the registry to run the McAfee programs. I found those registry entries and deleted them because they don't point to anything anymore.

Any ideas about what is causing this, and any ideas about whether or not it's a virus?
