HELP with creepy virus !!

Dear DaniWeb users,
My computer has been trouble-free for so long that I even misplaced my log-on information! Having had such great help from other members in the past, I thought I would try everyone with my latest issue.
I got a message from a friend and foolishly opened it. Now the following thing has attached itself to my Desktop:
cicarelli_praia.jpg - ( Tipo - Imagem JPEG
It is described as a "screensaver" / flash animation. 842 kb.
I can't get any more information about it. And when I try to delete it, access is denied.
Does anyone have a tip? I hope so!
