This is the only thing i have not been able to get rid of... Tricky virus or trojan

Hello
up till now i have been able to keep my computer free of viruses and trojans and all that other stuff. i have finally come up against something i cant take care of. it has disabled my modem and i can no-longer connect to any wireless networks. it really slows down my computer and when i have no programs open, it is running 34 processes which is way more than normal.

i took a picture of the task manager (attatched file "all.bmp") and was hoping if someone could tell me what i have and help me get rid of it.

one ather thing: it usually only has 3 svchost.exe running.

i ran hijackthis and got this as a result. i ran it after i had already disabled a ton of stuff in msconfig.exe. none of the drivers that i could check were running and only a few things under selective startup like windows audio were running. oh yeah, and a couple of other things like tp4srv.exe or something. it came with my thinkpad laptop.
any help would be much appreciated!

Please download Vundofix.exe to your desktop http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a fresh HijackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Go to add/remove programs and unistall any previous versions of Java.
Then, install the latest you've just downloaded.

rescan with hijackthis and place a check beside:

make sure all other windows are closed and click Fix checked

Start CCleaner.
Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
Deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours".
Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
After CCleaner has completed, click Exit.



Run ActiveScan online virus scan:

When the scan is finished, save the results from the scan

Post a new Hijack This log along with the log from the ActiveScan.

i did everything that u told me except run the active scan. i tried to connect to the internet and a message appeared that said that another program was using my modem and i couldn't connect.

Rescan with hijackthis and check:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~1\GOEC62~1.DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\wucrtupd.dll

Close all other windows and click Fix checked


Find and delete this file via Start - Search if it still exists

wucrtupd.dll

Any problems?

ok, i did that and the following error came up when i tried to fix selected:

i still can't get onto the internet and i can't install my anti virus software. when i do the following error comes up:

Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avg7dos.lng: creating file....
Changing language to 67698688 failed.
General failure.

also, i can't enable my firewall. each time i try, an error message comes up that says that it can't start the Internet Connection Sharing service (see the attatchments) i tried starting it regular way (01.jpg) then tried doing what it suggested and 1.jpg poped up. i click yes and 2.jpg pops up. then i went to control panel/administrative tools/services and clicked on the ICS service and tried to start it that way and 3.jpg appeared. on my computer, i am an administrator.

one more thing: i was wondering if the fact that msgrapp.dll and WgaLogon.dll were missing was causing any problems.

any ideas?
