Hey I could really use some help here. Seems I have a coolweb variant but for some reason I cannot get rid of it. I have spybot and adware and cwshredder and Hijackthis…nothing. Tired doing the whole erase file and restart crap and still nothing. Maybe I’m missing something on the log so if anyone can help please do thanks!

1. Back up files
2. format hard drive (and destroy and rebuild primary partition if you can)
3. reinstall software
4. BEFORE you connect to the internet, ensure you are running latest Anti-Virus such as McAfee, a firewall such as Zonealarm (and be careful which programs can access the net) and S&D/Ad-Aware.
5.Ditch IE and use Mozilla.

Yes, Vanth- in the future, please start your own thread when you have a problem. Read the "Forum rules when posting" announcement posted at the top of this forum for more information on our posting policies.

I've (obviously) split your post and its responses into their own thread this time, but having to do so does make extra work for us.

Thanks for understanding.

Please do not contact me by email or PM for help. We're all volunteers here, and only have so much free time to dedicate to our efforts.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.
