Help Help with student induction timetable database

  #1
Oct 19th, 2006
I am needing help with my final year project for a database which will show students on a specific programme (i.e. Business Studies) in a specific year what events they will have for the week of induction. The problem seems to be with the day, room and time and these would have to be composite keys. My original 3 versions aren't working so scrapping them and going back to the basics. Maybe help with normalisation. This would be:

Programme name
Accounts
Business Studies
Management
etc.

Year
1
2
3
4

Day
Monday
through to
Friday

Time
varies

Room
varies

Event
Programme Talk
Welcome Talk
Study Skills
etc

Staff
various staff members

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks
