Display Card and TV-Capture Card

I just found out one of the slots for the tv-capture card is broken and so I have to insert it to the one next to it. However, if I place it this way, the tv-capture card is right next to the display card obscuring most of the fan on the display card (I would say about 4/5 of the fan). If I leave the computer case open, would that be ok or would the heat still destroy my display card if I leave the computer on for very long (temperature is also quite high approximately 27 degrees here)? Thanks.
