Why start a new thread? Nothing has changed in that log from the first one you posted. You need to run CWShredder, Adaware & spybot again. It doesn't look like they have been run at all. You must follow the instructions exactly or the clean up programs (More CWSHredder) will not clean up.
Maybe someone else can pick this one up as I haven't got time to do the same thing over & over again.

The reason I haven't downloaded Spybot was because I heard negative things bout it.

Fine. You could have mentioned that in your other thread(s) so I didn't waste my time.
FYI. CWShredder is the only program at the moment that will rid you of your browser hijack. Did you bother with that? or have you heard negative reports on that too?

First of all, I barely knew about the Spybot after you responded to my post. Second, I did downloaded the CWShredder and did the Windows update that you also mentioned. And finally, sorry if I had waisted your time, this is my first time doing all of this without getting one of my family members to help me out. Once again, sorry.

agal82,

Please don't take any of our frustration with this personally, it's just that we've been bombarded with these problems lately and it seems as though harldy any of the posters bother to read through the many related threads for previously-posted solutions before simply plopping yet more HJT logs on us and basically saying: "here, can you fix this for me?".

crunchie has been tirelessly (and very patiently) helping scores of members work through their spyware/hijack problems. I wouldn't doubt that he has nightmares about HJT logs, and with the amount of time he's spent doing this I for one am surprised his head hasn't exploded yet. Again, it's nothing personal.

As far as SpyBot and the other utilities you see us mention here, they are the most recommended and most often used tools as far as fighting spyware, etc. goes. The spyware problem has become so widespread that I personally have gotten to the point of running these programs on any of my client's systems before I even think about doing anything else. I can also honestly say that in the past three weeks there has not been a single time where I've done this and SpyBot and/or Ad Aware have not found (and fixed) at least 5 malicious components on every system. This week's winner had over 300 items which constituted security risks; a combination of SpyBot, Ad Aware, and CWShredder fixed them all.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.

This is very simple and easy.

Follow my steps for the 40th time. No offense to you but, people who spam and produce spyware give me a headache.

MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE ALL SOFTWARE BEFORE RUNNING IT!

Step 1
Download Spybot
http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10...ml?tag=lst-0-2

Step 2
Download AdAware
http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10...ml?tag=lst-0-2

Step 3
Download CWShredder
http://download.softpedia.com:8080/A...CWShredder.exe

Step 4
Run Windows Update
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Step 5
Run Panada
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/default.asp

Step 6
Update all your virus scanners/firewalls

Step 7
Update AdAware & Spybot

Step 8
RUN EVERYTHING 2-3 TIMES TILL IT'S GONE DON'T FORGET TO REBOOT & RERUN EVERYTHING!

Have a good day.

Apology accepted & I offer mine too for spouting off a bit. Just a bit frustrated having to go over the same thing with no progress being made.
If you can run those three programs & post another log I will be happy to look it over. But please, keep to one thread.

Thanx DMR & my apologies to you too.

No sweat crunchie, you bust your hump on this stuff everyday- no apologies to me are necessary at all.
