How do I delete FakeMSNBeta?

Subject: How do I delete FakeMSNBeta?

I have read a few articles on your site and found them helpful, but I need help on my unique situation and do not quite understand how to do some of the things in the articles. I would like to remove FakeMSNBeta from my computer. Right now I am using Spybot Search and Destroy. It always finds the FakeMSNBeta during the computer scans, but it never quite removes it. Each time I scan again, it finds it once again! I am also using AVG Free Edition and SpywareBlaster. Neither programs find the FakeMSNBeta, but seem to be working just fine otherwise. I am just using Windows Messenger right now because I am afraid of passing this onto my contacts if I download MSN Messenger. If you could send me step by step instructions on how to get rid of the FakeMSNBeta for good, I would be more than grateful.

first spywareblaser is a blocker not a removal tool ,what version of spybot are you using ,if 1.3 download 1.4 ,update it and scan again ,. also get hijackthis [both programs in the spyware & parasites link below ]and run scan and post log here .

Hello,i see nothing bad in the log, run hijackthis again and fix this one .

A google search for info on the FakeMSNBeta finds little help some even seem to suggest its a false positive find by Spybot .the info\help out there is little, this post is actually # 3 in google the find list .one site suggest to make sure you are using spybotversion 1.4 and not 1.3 the older version .

I ran HijackThis again and fixed the one you specified to do so with. I also updated my Spybot SD program, its now the 1.4 version. Spybot SD is still finding the FakeMSNBeta, what do I do?

Hi , i really don't know what to tell you as i can find no answer to you question ,when i search the net for info on fakemsnBeta ,does spybot show the location of the file ,does spybot try to fix or remove it ,

I ran a scan on Spybot SD and it did not find it!!! I don't want to speak too soon, but I believe my problem is fixed. You have been extremely helpful. Thank you very much.
