"Disk Read Error"

Hello, when i boot up my computer it checks all hardware then says "disk read error occured, press cntrl-alt-delete to restart", which i've tried often. I've had this sata hardrive running for a couple of days with no problems, then i turned it on and all of a sudden there's this error. In setup, it recognizes hard drive(as it did before). I've tried re-hooking up cables again and again but no luck. Any help?

hmm, haven't you made any operations with HD's file system(partitioning, changing FS)? i think nothing can help in such sittuation, the only way is to reformat the drive. if you have some needful staff, there is an oppotunity to restore it:

**********FreeWare Recovery Tools**********

Deleted File Analysis http://www.execsoft.com/freeware/freeware.asp
(NT/2K/XP)

PC Inspector http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm
(FAT 12/16/32 NTFS)

OnTrack http://www.ontrack.co.uk/freesoftware/freesoftware.asp
(Also have a Netware version - NOT FREE)

**********Shareware Recovery Tools**********

File Scavenger http://www.webattack.com/features/fi...704-421808.php
(NT/2K/XP) - Supports Reformatted Volumes -Limited to 32Kb file size!

GetDataBack for FAT http://www.webattack.com/get/getbackfat.shtml
(FAT) Works Even After FDisk and Format, Can run Over the network.

GetDataBack for NTFS http://www.webattack.com/get/getbacknt.shtml
(NTFS) Works Even After FDisk and Format, Can run Over the network.
