Job Description:
Opportunity for a J2EE Engineer specializing in IBM WebSphere technology to work on MDIA Middleware team. Engineer will support enterprise data management & architecture and implement the company’s Middleware platform to support critical applications such as Accurate, RDE, Billing applications and RDS products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work as lead designer and developer in delivering architectural solutions using IBM WebSphere Application Server.
· Architecture, Development, Performance and Tuning of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
· Work in implementing best practices for architectures involving Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus, Java, J2EE design patterns, XML, Web Services, N-Tier architectures.
· Work on implementing new applications to WAS middleware and analyzing and improving performance of applications involving WAS.
· Establishing policies and procedures which adhere to the SDLC.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
· 5+ years experience with IBM WAS, Java, J2EE technologies and development.
· Experience in integrating enterprise services with SOA design, ESB patterns, messaging, and J2EE components.
· Experience working with and troubleshooting JVM’s, Java Beans, EJBs, server side applications.
· Experience in deploying WAS (5.x, 6) architectures on IBM AIX environments.
· Familiar with SDLC. Good discipline in software development methodology.
· Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills of new technologies.
· Ability to work as part of team, as well as independently handling multiple tasks.
· Good analytic, communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science required, Masters Degree a plus.
  • 5+ years experience with IBM WAS, Java, J2EE technologies and development.
