Moneysupermarket.com, the high profile North West based online information comparison provider, has an exciting new vacancy for a Data Architect to strengthen and maintain the company’s data architecture. This role would suit a highly motivated Technical Architect with strong database design skills who wishes to specialise or has specialised on the data aspect of technical architecture.
Data is the glue that binds the company together. It must be carefully managed – its accuracy, currency and usage are keys to corporate success. The Data Architect must be able to understand how the data relates to current business workflows and potential future processes.
The successful candidate will design, deliver and maintain the architecture, and act as a data champion - coaching colleagues on the importance of data management. Candidates will therefore have a background as a Technical Architect with strong object oriented design and development experience working with enterprise solutions. You will be an excellent communicator with experience of high volume transact SQL databases, a strong understanding of one of more software development lifecycles, and software quality assurance practices.
You will have been responsible for the architecture of applications using either .Net (ASP.Net and C#) or J2EE (inc JSP) and will ideally have experience of web technologies design and development: HTTP, Web Servers, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
