Development Manager

Moneysupermarket.com, the online information comparison provider, is growing at a phenomenal rate. In order to manage this growth we are looking to take on a Development Manager to provide line management to our Money Product team and oversee the development and maintenance of our software.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Development Manager to join one of the most exciting companies in the North West!

We are looking for Development Managers with object oriented programming experience (preferably Java or .Net) in a commercial environment, as well as solid line management experience. You will have experience of all aspects of the software development lifecycle as well as experience of web based technology (HTTP, HTML, Web Servers, CSS and JavaScript).

In addition to line management responsibilities you will work with commercial owners to define a roadmap to develop software functionality. You will oversee the development and maintenance of software for the Product teams functionality and ensure an appropriate Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), process and working practice is adopted.

You will have experience of defining and introducing processes and working practices within a team, as well as all aspects of SDLC including the expectation management of stakeholders. You will have good awareness of RDBMS, SQL and MS Office applications.

Management level reporting is also essential as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate. In addition you will have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
