Generic Host Process for Win32 Error

Hi
I wonder if someone could help me, I am getting the following error.
I am sure you have all seen this before and I have read a number of forums on how to get rid of the problem. I have been on the following thread and have tried following the instructions
I have also run HiJackThis and the report from it is below
After the error I can't connect to the internet etc. and I need to restart.
I have run a Symantec Online Security check and it has come up with a number of threats the most I managed was 17, but then I got this error. I cancelled it after 12 on one search and it was all adware not ideal but not the end of the world, I don't know what the other 5 were.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

this happens to me all the time on a pc that could not posibly have a virus im 99% sure its a driver issue
