Since nobody's responded to this, I'm pulling the offer. I had a project that would have paid about $1500, but nobody bothered to send me an inquiry, so I had to find someone elsewhere to start working.

Warning: The below post contains RANTS which might be offensive to some. I personally don't care if you're offended, so don't e-mail me your whinings and tales of woe on this post, since they'll be immediately deleted without having the benefit of being read.

I find it interesting that only 1 person actually responded to my ad (via private e-mail, which I haven't had the time to respond to as yet - Sorry G!) who was also qualified, as per my post.

I also find it interesting that the flurry of activity from India is from people who don't bother reading the entire details of the post - they just want to work on whatever the project is, regardless of whether or not they're qualified. For example, I posted a project on elance.com, and out of the 26+ bids I received from outside the US borders, NOT A SINGLE BIDDER BOTHERED TO READ THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION.

I have no idea what "B.Com.,D.C.S. and S.C.J.P." refer to, but I do know that there's no mention of PHP or MySQL. This is also 5 days after I stated the project was CLOSED, which indicate the poster is lacking in the "paying attention to details" area - something that's usually fairly important when projects are involved.

Don't waste the time of others if you can't be bothered to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Did I mention B.COM anywhere in my original post? No. Did I already mention that the project was ALREADY AWARDED? Yes. (Why would I bother to pull a project from someone else to award it to someone who not only can't follow simple instructions, but doesn't meet the requirements to begin with?) I could care less what FACULTY you were involved in - I care about meeting deadlines for my clients following posted guidelines. Don't tell me you're interested in working for me if you don't have a clue, or can't read my simple instructions. In fact, if you're from anywhere outside the U.S.A (except Canada), don't bother replying at all. The work will stay inside the good ol' US, and if you don't like that, I don't really care. Go cry to someone else about it. I can assure you I won't be losing any sleep over it.

I can see this thread perhaps getting a bit out of control with responses to this, so I'm going to lock this thread. Since the position has already been filled and TheOgre asked for inquiries to be emailed to him, there is no reason for any replies to this thread anyways.
