I've got a samsung yp-u2jxb direct-insert usb mp3 player. The player works fine itself, the problem is has to do with the connection between it and my computer. I haven't been able to to add music to it for months because every time I insert it, it connects for about 5 seconds then disconnects, and repeats over and over. Whats with this? Should it be an MTP device or USB Mass Storage device? Also, the remaining open memory goes to 0mb even though there is about 50mb remaining.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the cable for lumps and breaks... Remove and reinstall the drivers, but it sounds like it wants to go home to Samsung for a repair.
