Redhat 9 / Slackware 11 EXE Viewer / Runner?

There's Wine, which can run *some* Windows applications, but the stability and usefulness of it is questioned, as it has only about Windows 2000 compatibility.
Which begs the question: why the heck do you need to run a Windows application to install Slackware? CD burning is built right into Linux and almost everything else; your computer can boot from any Linux CD, so you shouldn't have any need for something like that.
