I think I have to say i prefer your old design. I think it has the potential to look far more professional that your new design. If you would like more information just ask.

You said the old design has the potential to look more professional than the new design. What would you change to give the old design a more professional look? I have run out of ideas.

Thanks

I hope you find the following useful and I asure you that your site will look 100% better once you have changed these points. Let us know how you get on. If you need anymore help just post or PM me.

HOME PAGE

1. Get rid of ALL times new roman style font!!!

2. The orange graphics that goes across the middle:
  • You may want to consider changing the image because it appears to have a very strange filter on it.
  • The curved lines around the edges aren't curved very well. If you need more help with this please say.
  • The purple lines have got white around the edges.
  • On the photo you might consider putting some kind of outline around it because it merges into you white outline.
  • On the Dark orange box in the middle you ned to sort out the outline. I can give you more info on that if you need.
  • The text inside the dark orange box needs to be kept at a more consistent font style, weight, and decoration.
3. Hyperlinks - You hyperlinks reading Freelance Writers, Freelance Web Designers, and Freelance Graphic designers are missing the hyperlink off of the last s.

4. You may wish to write a bit about each of your categories to fill the orange bordered boxes a bit more.

5. The line going at 45 degs next to your home hyperlink needs a bit more antialas.

6. You may consider changing you logo (unless of course it is already established) to something more to do with your purpose.

7. Your copyright and simple text links bit- you should consider putting a very light shade over this to split it from the rest of your page. some where around #ffffcc.

FIND FREELANCERS and FIND JOB PAGE

1. The graphics on the left hand side should be text because you have some good keywords on their and also it does not look as clear because of the limitations of the gif format compared to general screen text (ie nasty looking!)

2. On the freelancer Now! box you should probably make it a slightly less harsh orange. You also need to keep a consitant font going through it.

JOB CENTER PAGE

1. Most of the text on this page is a bit too small and I am guessing you have specified it in pixels because it will not get larger using the browser accessibility options.

2. The arrows on the sign in and register buttons look pretty nasty, if you need help changing them just say.

CONTACT PAGE

1. This page is good but you may consider a contact form for people with no email account.

2. An address will ALWAYS make a business look more legitimate.

Your about us page and help pages are good, there isn't anything to change and these will probably be the pages that are very rarely visted.

GENERAL POINTS

1. It is good practise to keep hyperlinked text underlined. And text that is not a hyperlink should not be underlined.

2. Keeping the font and style of the font consitant is absolutely essential. This is something that you really need to work on. I have just looked at your source and after realising you have used a template!!! I found that your css does not contain much font formatting, and obviously this is in your html, which is not advised.

I tried to sharpen up the images, and simply some of the text in the center box.

I also added some sample text inside a couple of the boxes to fill them in more. Let me know what you think.

Thank You so much for all the great advice.

I'm using FireFox. The text below "PHP Jobs" has some text written on top of other text. Looks very very bad.

I like your design, but what am I sopposed to do about the top and bottom of the banner. They are white and bleed into the white background. Would you suggest sourrounding banner with an orange block like this, or using a different background color.

Thanks
