'ello one and all! I have this 2 trojan problems of which pc-cillin detected

1. TROJ_BANKER.AF
File name: Windows\winupd.exe
Windows\cmid32.dll

2. TROJ_STATRPAGE.S
File name: Windows\system32\dcgkaa.dll
Documents and setting\local settings\temporary internet files\content.IE5\YVI7411T\M[2].bin

Does "CMID32" in capitals and "cmid32" in small letters have a difference? as both of these appear in the filename

Clean out your TIF's first then go to your Windows folder & delete the following:

winupd.exe<<<<
cmid32.dll<<<<

No difference.

Nothing showing in your log. Just do the same as B4 & delete that dll.
IE should be closed too when you run the HJT scan & also HJT needs to be in a permanent folder if & when you have it fix anything.

Done what you have just mentioned but problem still persist. Enclose HTJ log file after what you have to me to do..............thanks

Create a folder on your desktop, doubleclick on the dllfix and install it into the folder you just created.
Run start.bat and press option 1. 'output.txt' will be created in the folder. Post the contents of that log here too plz.

Make sure you have ALL programs set to run in Msconfig too. Start/Run type Msconfig then enter. Go to startup tab & check all.

Not able to run Kaspersky. MicroTrends cannot scan because of security settings prevents running of Active X controls. The trojan was dectected by pc-cillin

Run start.bat again & select option 2, then hit 1 & enter

C:\WINDOWS\System32\sqlo.dll then reboot.

Once rebooted there will be another scan, then reboot again.

Download & instal Adaware from here
& update it B4 scanning.
In settings under 'scanning,' have it set to
'scan within archives,'
'scan active processes,'
'scan registry,'
'deepscan registry'
'scan my IE Favourites for banned URL's,'
'scan my host's file.'
In 'tweaks' under 'scanning engine' set it to 'unload recognised processes during scanning.'
Also in 'tweaks' under 'cleaning engine' set it to 'Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion' & 'let Windows remove files in use at next reboot.'
Select 'activate in-depth scan' before starting scan.
When the scan is finished select 'next.'
Remove what it finds by placing a check in the box to the left of the object. Reboot

Download & instal Spybot S&D from here Update it B4 scanning. Go into settings & have it check for Beta releases also & download if available.
After the scan is complete, have spybot fix everything marked RED.
On the page that first opens when you start Spybot there is an option to immunise, you should do this. In the immunise section there is also a link to download Spywareblaster. This program will prevent the install of bad activex controls that it has knowledge of. Download that & you can keep it updated by selecting the same link that you use to download it. Reboot
