problem with sata hdd

hi i have SATA WD Caviar SE 16 320gb and my mainboard is KT6V-LSR i have problem that when i connect my SATA hdd WD Caviar SE 16 320gb my bios dont find hdd
please help me i dont know how to make this sata hdd to work my mainboard supports sata & sata 2 hard drive on an onboard controller.
can someone to say me what can i do to make that sata hdd work
