Hello all,

I'm searching for information for my mums computeur.

Since christmas she has starting having trouble connecting to sites, (secure sites), like jacquielawson.com, but can still get on the bbc.co.uk (non secure?).
For the sites she can't get on she gets a dns error.

I downloaded spybot s&d which found 5 red issues which we got rid of.

But before I go messing about with regcleaner or hijackthis (if even need be), i'd like to get a better idea of what the problem is...

I found some info that concerning regserv32 , to get the dlls back running?, but that didn't work...

The last known good use was her 7 year old granddaugter asking for help after clicking on "something", since tehn unable to get certain websites, and a yahoo window sometimes comes up or a "sea.search.msn" window....

I think it's IE 5 and it's definately windows 98.

Thanks in advance

Tum
