Yes, please read this. You could also try the Irrlicht engine, it's free and relatively ease to use.

The TrueVision3D engine is the best by far. Check out http://www.truevision3d.com/. I've actually started developing an MMORPG called World Domination Online (I did by the commercial license which is not free). Check out my website www.dtmstech.com. I'm still recruiting developers if you interested in learning about game development. You don't have to be an expert (although some programming or modeling experience is preferred)
