Key Responsibilities include:
Database systems architecture, planning, modeling, development, automation, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and disaster recovery in an enterprise environment.
Support ad-hoc queries from user community.
Troubleshoot and isolate application and performance problems.
Data loads and extractions from/to third party organizations.
Implement database maintenance procedures.
Configure and document server hardware.
Install, configure, and document software.
Network operations support.
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following:
*Strong experience in database administration and systems.
*Experience maintaining large Microsoft SQL Server databases.
*Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of SQL programming.
*Experience maintaining a high volume, mission critical application in an Application Service Provider delivery model.
*Direct experience with creating disaster recovery plans; proven track record of successfully executing plans is highly desirable.
*The ability to collaborate with peers in engineering and marketing as part of a development team, and to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
*Bachelors' in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, MCDBA preferred.
*Experience in the following functional areas: Windows 2000/2003 server, Service Packs and updates, SQL maintenance, Exchanger maintenance, Disaster plan maintenance, Performance and capacity monitoring.
