Hello, I recently installed Norton internet security and now I get a lot of messages that Windows Messenger is trying to access the internet. But I never use Windows Messenger, but I do use MSN messenger, but I'm not using either when WM wants to connect. Should I allow WM to connect? Does it serve some other function other than instant messaging? Thanks. My OS is Win XP.
Go to www.grc.com & download shoot the messenger. This will disable it. Or you can go into *services* & disable it yourself.
