Perhaps you could add some nice image examples. That way people get an idea of the kind of images you have and are looking for.

sorry, I just read my post again and it's not that clear so let me totally clarify what I meant. Example photos/cartoons or whatever on the front page.

Put the nice header that fits your site. Too much space is not a good idea. Like beats said, if you could show latest uploaded pictures by your users, it would be better.

what sort of watermark? a visble watermark or an electronic one?
